Love my blink camera and the security it gives . A great little camera . Easy to set up and use . The app is so quick and user friendly also . Not sure about the paid subscription service and who would want that otherwise all is excellent with it . Great images and usability . Even in the dark images are crystal clear . 5 * item

Small and inconspicuous, with good imaging and sound. Can even use looking out through windows during the day (doesn’t work at night).Motion detection is very sensitive, producing many notifications. Apparently this can be adjusted.Basic setup idiot-proof.Brilliant little device and superb value for money.

I recently purchased the Blink Mini indoor plug-in smart security camera to keep an eye on my home, and I must say, it has been a worthwhile investment. As a layman user in the UK, I found this camera to be incredibly useful for ensuring the safety and security of my living space. One of the things I love about the Blink Mini is its easy setup process. I was able to get it up and running within minutes, thanks to the straightforward instructions provided. The compact design also allows for convenient placement anywhere in my home without being obtrusive. The camera’s 1080p HD video quality delivers clear visuals, making it easy to identify any potential threats or monitor daily activities. Moreover, the motion detection feature works flawlessly. Whenever there is any movement detected, the camera sends instant notifications to my smartphone, allowing me to quickly check the live feed or review recorded footage. This added layer of security has given me peace of mind, especially when I’m away from home. However, there are a couple of aspects that could be improved. Firstly, the camera’s field of view could be wider, as it sometimes struggles to capture the entire room in a single frame. Additionally, while the camera itself is reasonably priced, some optional features, such as cloud storage, require additional subscriptions, which can add to the overall cost.In conclusion, the Blink Mini indoor plug-in smart security camera has proven to be a reliable and efficient addition to my home security system. Its user-friendly setup, high-definition video quality, and effective motion detection make it an excellent choice for anyone looking to enhance their security measures. Despite a few minor drawbacks, I am satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it to others in the UK seeking an affordable and dependable smart security camera solution.

Finally Amazon have got their act together in terms of security camerasThis is an absolute doddle to set up unlike some other makes, with output from all linked cameras stored on a single cardThe associated software is not perfect by any means – you cannot filter the clips by date and time, for example, and you only schedule all cameras, not individual ones, but the cameras themselves are well-made for the price, especially when on offerPrevious review of this productSadly, Amazon has put their name to a piece of equipment which fails to deliver on its promises.Whilst the camera has some definite plus points – inexpensive, relatively easy to connect to the network (via an Android phone at least – bizarrely it refused to connect to an Amazon Fire Tablet), cloud storage (although at a cost after one month), it has a number of elements which ultimately make it unusable. The bad pointsThe most disastrous of these – after all this is sold as a “smart security camera” – is that the associated app refuses to accept “automatic” as the choice for night vision. It returns to Off when saved. This is no doubt why the camera stays in night mode even after dawn. As a result, it refuses to record anything until daylight mode is manually selected. This has been noted in other comments here and, according to Blink Support, “As of this time, we are experiencing some issues with the Blink mini camera, especially Android app 6.5.0.1.” (I have Android 10) Another reply posted by Blink Support is effectively to “turn it off and turn it on again”. I don’t care what the reason is – you fix it and fast. The app only records a maximum of 30 seconds of video. It then waits for a minimum of 10 seconds before recording a further clip. This makes reviewing an event or an intruder less than optimal with potential blanks where something could be happening. The sync module 2 (which allows video to be stored locally rather than in the cloud) still has not been made available in the UK. And even when it does, it will allow only 30 second clips to be recorded onto the external media. This is patently absurd – if you can attach a drive or SD card up to 256GB, it should allow continuous recording – even the most basic car cam does that! The link to the Community Forum in the app does not work. It states that is has moved and gives an alternative url to enter. This is not a problem in itself but is symptomatic of a company which is unable to keep its app current and upto date. The app should directly open the new location automaticallyAs it stands, this is certainly NOT a “smart security camera” and unfortunately Amazon’s reputation has been tarnished by it.Firmware version: 9.70App verson 6.5.3Android version 10

They are really good, got them to keep an eye on the pets while out, but so quick and easy to set up, plus they work as security cameras. Night vision is on point, these are some of the best value for money cameras I have come across, especially with no subscription fee.
