I got these as a gift for my daughter who has a whippet, the bowls are the perfect size for his meals – and if they did a larger version that might work with my much bigger dog I’d immediately be ordering some…They come in a range of colours (black, white, grey, pink, dark green) – I went for the green and it’s a bit like a British Racing Green, really nice colour. It matches really well with the wood colour of the stand.These raised bowls are a great way to ensure your dog isn’t putting itself in uncomfortable positions when eating, which can be a concern especially as they get older and less supple. At the moment my daughter’s dog is still young enough not to need them for that reason, but it’s a good habit to get into – and it’s also less hassle putting the bowls down at mealtimes when you don’t have to bend/crouch so much!The bamboo frame is robust and solid, and hopefully won’t be badly affected by water splashing on it over time. It is stable, with rubber pads under the feet so it won’t slide around if your dog gets a bit manic at feeding time!The bowls themselves are a nice heavy (but not too heavy) ceramic – my daughter joked that next time I’m there we’ll be eating pasta out of them!

I use stainless steel bowls to feed and water my Shih Tzu. He’s quite happy with the arrangements, I’m not. If the bottom of either gets wet, either me not drying them properly, or him slopping, then I end up with a back mark on the wooden floor the bowls are sat on.With this Ptober set black marks will be a thing of the past. To make sure he gets every last bit out of the bottom of the bowl my dog pushes the bowl round the kitchen with his mouth. That will also a be a thing of the past, his new bowl set is made of heavy ceramic and I don’t think he’ll push it anywhere.They arrived beautifully packed in a polystyrene box with each component wrapped in bubble wrap. They’re very well made and have a set of rubber feet and a set spare.I can’t make my mind up about the price. £26.99 seems a bit expensive, but if you want quality you have to pay for it. And you’re certainly getting quality with these Ptober raised dog bowls.

I like this raised feeder and raised feeders in general as it’s said that it’s not good for dogs when they have to bend down to eat or drink. The feeder also comes with anti slip stickers in the box, these need to be applied when you receive the feeder, it’s super simple with sticky tape already applied.The bowls are good quality and heavy, they hold enough food for out medium to large dog (500g raw meat) with ease. I’d say the recommended breed would be probably be cocker spaniel to working class German Pointers if that helps in a size guide for dogs.The bowls clean up well, I haven’t yet tried in the dishwasher as I prefer to hand wash dog bowls and not mix with our cutlery. The stand looks great with it’s light wood finish.The reason I’ve rated 4* over 5* is due to the stand, it’s made from a soft wood and based on our one hard wood feeder and how that’s getting battered. I fear that over a shorter period of time this soft wood stand could rot quickly if not taken care off. If like our dogs, yours love to splash water when drinking this over time I fear will rot it. So my recommendation would be to remove bowls after feeding and only half fill water bowl.

I’m quite pleased with these bowls, I admit the raised frame doesn’t seem the most robust but my cats aren’t likely to be rough with it so hopefully it’s more than enough for my purposes.The raised bowls seem to make eating more comfortable for the cat who has arthritis in his shoulder and I like the deep green ceramic from an aesthetic point of view.

This dog bowl set suits our décor quite well. I love the bowls and find the thick bamboo frame rustic and charming, Our frame rocks a little bit on a flat surface, but I’m confident it will settle out after a while and I’m pretty sure the dog won’t mind anyway.The bowls have a lovely weighty, quality feel to them in my view, and I think they should last well. They are just the right size, if not a little generous for our medium-sized dog. Hope he appreciated the quality!

Sturdy, cute and ergonomic!
This bowl set is so nice! The ceramic bowls are nice and thick, and the perfect size for my cat. I got the small size, because I didn’t want them to be too big. She has an automatic feeder for kibble, but she also needs a bowl for water and for wet food. I always had mismatched bowls on her food mat and it kinda drove me crazy how messy it looked. These bowls tidy up that space so much. The grey is a perfect neutral color. They sit on the bamboo frame perfectly. No wiggling or wobbling. The bowls also come with pre-cut (satisfyingly, perfectly sized) little square rubber pad stickers. The set would be functional without them but they are definitely a nice touch to be included with the set. It provides just that extra little bit of protection between the ceramic and bamboo. These bowls are a really good value in my opinion. I have watched my cat eat and drink out of these and just like how my dog has raised bowls, I realized how much better this seems for her back and neck!! I don’t know why I didn’t think of this for her earlier but am so glad she has it now, especially as an almost senior kitty.If you’re looking for a cute bowl set and want to be assured that they are good quality, I’d say look no further… cause these fit the bill!5/5
