This really is a multifunction lead, with D rings set at various points along its length so that temporary handles of different lead lengths can be created, or use the whole length to clip on to the back and chest of a harness. The two different size clips on the ends also make it easy to get the lead the right way up; if you clip the smaller clip onto the chest, one of the D rings uncomfortably sits where your hand would go.Sturdy, hard-wearing, and useful. Combined with a decent harness, this is the best solution yet to a perpetually-pulling spaniel.

I’ve found this lead really effective in reducing the pull from my dogs by attaching one clip to the harness chest plate, the other to the shoulder plate. When used as a single clip, it gives the option of a slightly longer line. The padded fabric is comfortable to hold.

Disclaimer: I generally don’t know what I’m doing. Honestly, I really don’t. This is our first dog and I’m almost as clueless as when our first child arrived. If you are in the same situation, hopefully this helps you and sets your mind at ease.Packaging and Postage: The packaging and postage was with Prime, so nothing really more to mention – fast as always and well wrapped and protected. In terms of the actual lead, the packaging is the commercial cover, which unfolds to give a neat little synopsis of the lead, its advantages and uses. More on that later…First Impressions: Really nice. Solid, thick and comfortable. The stitching is strong, the leash is fairly soft and the D rings are secure. Put simply, this is a quality product, not some cheap natty nylon cord.Design: So as I said, the cover goes through the different uses, and shows 8 layouts/methods of using the lead – from doubled, to two dogs, to round your waist for running. We have used it on precisely *ahem* 1 setting, as a lead. Don’t get me wrong, for other training – Im sure its great – but for what I want to do (walk my dog – simple as that) that’s all we need. Also, since getting it, you pay more attention to what people use. It is used a lot – on a wide range of Dogs. Take that as you want, but a lead isn’t something you generally buy to fit in – you buy what is best for you.Use: Its a lead – there isn’t that much to say. However, in the interests of covering everything – there are two clips. Both are strong and easy to clip on and off. You can make a handle with the clip at one end (as per the picture). It *is* soft for a lead.Longevity: We have a smallish Labrador pup, that is getting bigger by the day. As of yet, she isn’t pulling me over…but the lead has had a fair few…stress tests. It has also been thoroughly soaked, chewed a bit and generally used as you would expect. No stitching has come undone, in fact no marks or signs of wear at all – and that’s after about 6 weeks. It won’t last forever, but I go back to my initial assessment. This is a quality lead.Overall: Offers lots of options (if that’s your thing), easy to use and will last. And its cheap!

I’ve been using these halti leads for around 14 years for my large breed dogs (Rottweiler, Staffy, American Bulldog, American Bully). They last a long time, are strong and they are comfortable to hold onto. They look smart tooThe only fault I’ve come across is that now I have a young rescue bully dog who has decided she’ll chew on her lead whenever she thinks I’ve stopped long enough chatting, I’ve found she can easily chew through the lead in a very short time (a couple of minutes).Otherwise I recommend halti leads and I’ll continue to buy them (and meanwhile I’ll work on training the dog not to chew the lead)

This is the second time I have purchased this lead as it is robust and adaptable to different uses and situations

Super comfy and 100% suitable for my small dog. It’s got lots of different ways to use it and it’s very lightweight which makes it very comfortable to walk my doggy out. It’s a bit narrow on its width but safe enough for a small dog (also love the face that I can hang my potty bags carrier on it

Learnt about these leads via Guide Dogs and have used them ever since. You can use them in so many different ways to get the best out of your dog especially when used along side a harness. There is a small elasticity to it which definitely benefits the owners hands. As with all Halti products quality and performance are spot on. colour options are a bonus.

The harness has plenty of optional locations for multi use but ultimately has not prevented my dog from pulling when used with the Halti harness. Plus it’s awkward to hold onto when you need one hand to pick up any doggy deposits.

    Good control
Good product as it is solid and can be used multiple ways. Works well to control my reactive dog.

    My favorite leash
I bought it for my larger dog and loved it so got 2 more. I wish it came in more colors. They have held up well. They are comfortable, well padded. I love the versatility of the configurations. I’ve used it in combination with a long line wearing it looped across my body. One of the best features is being able to loop one end around something like a picnic table without unfastening it from the dog to do so. Having 3 dogs, it is also nice that the the leashes can be easily attached to each other when needed.
