“MEWOOFUN” Raised Dog Bowl, 4 Adjustable Heights for Dog Food & Water Bowl. Ideal for Small, Medium and Large Dogs – Sturdy Elevated Dog Bowl with 2 1200ml Stainless Steel Bowls, Black Frame. Many now believe that dogs should and will benefit from eating at a higher level than the floor. I guess there is a lot in what they say as it aids digestion although the biggest dogs like wolfhounds, deerhounds and borzois were fed from ground level when hunting. However here is a stand that has four adjustable heights (14cms, 20cms, 26cms and 32cms) to accommodate a comfortable eating position for the smallest to the big boys. It also has a three angle tilt to make further adjustments for doggie. It is a self assembly construction but don’t worry, it’s very easy. You get a line drawing to follow but you don’t really need it – yes it’s that easy.(note: the listing says the package includes “tools” – there are none, I think it means screws and bolts.)The ends are square section metal drilled with the four heights and are held together with two long rods and end bolts. The tray is (unfortunately) rather cheap looking pressed “wood” with cut outs for the two bowls. This is screwed into your chosen height using four bolts with accompanying nuts. I thought I might need something to tighten the bolts/nuts but the heads are large and allow finger tightening which was actually enough. It ended up quite a rigid structure. All that remains is to add the two bowls which fit well being held in place with a little rubber on the rim of the hole. It has rubber grip pads on the bottom of the end sections to keep the unit where you put it.It does what you need well and once assembled looks OK.The unit is priced at £32.99 which is around the market price for such items however check others before buying as there are several others on the market that look more attractive at around the same price. Having said that, this one will do all you need to feed doggie comfortably irrespective of size.4 STAR

the stand is ideal for dogs of various sizes but especially for large dogs as it allows you to elevate it to needed heights. The tilting function helps to ensure the dog reaches all the food, particularly from slow feeders. The bowls are good size but taking into account that the water bowl is tilted as much as food – I wish it was deeper as not only does a lot of water get spilled while the dog slurps it but also not much can be filled in.

This comes in a strong box with instructions for quick self assembly although you don’t need the instructions unless you are a complete numpty as the assembly is very intuitive. The frame is black painted metal and very strong quality with holes with no sharp edges to negotiate. The wood effect top plate which holds the bowls is good quality too and is made with a wipe down easy clean finish. The bowls themselves are chrome plated strong metal and should last a very long time. When completely assembled the unit is very strong, stable and steady. The USP of this set up is you can not only change the height of the bowls but ALSO the angle of both bowls so this helps make feeding easier.Yes I would most definitely recommend this 2 bowl feeder.

  4. Ruby Mouse

This is a solid and well made frame that enables my long necked dogs to eat more easily and also leads to less mess as the stainless steel bowls are secure in place. The downside is the price and the “wood” is a bit cheap looking and is already scratched in places – though barely noticeable – and I’m not sure whether other dog bowls will fit in the hole yet. But overall a nice looking and sturdy product that’s easy to put together.

This replaces our old, raised feeder as it has a much nicer design. I like that the platform can be raised to sit at an angle facing our dog making it much easier to access his food and water. It is really quick and easy to put together and it is very stable. It has a good range of heights; we have ours on the 3rd height. The nonslip feet are brilliant, our kitchen floor is stone, and it is very stable on it. The dishes are great quality and very easy to keep clean, they do not rattle in the holder. Our boy Blue is around 10 years old; he has recently had major surgery so making it easier for him to eat and drink is important. Only thing I would of like to have seen was the edges of the wood sealed where the dishes go, I shall do that in case of water ingress.

This was very easy to put together and I like the ability to angle the bowls. I had intended to use these as water bowls but they just don’t work for that at all, so I’m using them as food and treat bowls.I am one of those fortunate dog owners as I can leave treats down for my dog for weeks and she just takes one when she feels like it, she isn’t greedy at all.The height is great for her, she is a husky cross, and I have the bolts on the top holes but would be equally good for smaller dogs as there are 3 sets of holes to attach too.Easy to keep clean and should last years.Pictures attached.
