PRODUCT: Automatic dog ball mini launcher.FUNCTION: This mini launcher is constructed of sturdy plastic and is a little bigger than a large saucepan, or child’s potty. It has a large opening at the top, for loading a ball and a hole (at an angle) at the front where the ball launches from. It seems robust and well made.I have mine plugged in to the mains and switched on all the time. It is motion activated. When a ball enters the top it triggers the motor inside to wake up and activate. This is the only time you hear the motor, and alerts the dog that something is about to happen. A belt drives the ball into the Shute and it is expelled with some force. Other than when you place a ball in the top, you would not know this machine is on standby. I have not tested it with batteries.I have mine placed in a corner of the room and have selected the first distance option of 10ft. It really does shoot the ball this distance, which is slightly less than the length of my lounge, so it is ideal. If I plug this into the extension cord and have it in the garden, I select one of the further options – 20 or 30 foot. On many occasions the ball has gone full force into my dog, directly into his mouth or bounced off of his little body, and he doesn’t mind. The balls are smaller than a standard tennis ball, and they do not pose a choking risk for my Shih Tzu dog.He has (on a couple of occasions) managed to load the ball himself, but he tends to back off too soon (in anticipation) before he has actually dropped the ball, so it ends up on the carpet in front of the device, but he still waits for it to launch. Oh how I wish he’d learn to load it himself.At the time of this review the ball launcher was £64. I researched a lot of these launchers and thought long and hard before I committed to purchasing one, as they are not cheap. I do not regret buying it and I would recommend.

My terrier really loves his ball thrower, He gets really excited when it starts to wind up prior to launching the ball. Our other dog, who is much more nervous and far less ball obsessed, hates the noise.It only uses the really tiny balls though – those are not proper full sized balls in the picture. Not sure how well it works with fluffy tennis balls once they get a bit drooly after play, as we only use the amazing SportPet High bounce balls (the mini ones for this launcher) as he destroys anything less robust within minutes. They get quite slippery, so I often have to dry them before putting them back in the launcher. The thrower doesn’t work so well, and sometimes not at all, if the balls are slippery or wet, leading to a very confused and frustrated dog.Would be good if it were easier to clean the inside as it can get grubby quite quickly, even just with indoor use.

My sprocker is absolutely obsessed with it and he got the hang of it straight away! Not sure how long it will last because the build quality is not the best. We always put it on the 30ft launch which in reality is about 10ft. Overall its a good buy because i have a very happy dog! I think it’s quite expensive for what it is and I hope it lasts a while.

While this is working, it is fantastic, since November 23 we have had 3, the 1st when arrived just did not work, ordered another, it lasted 3 weeks, ordered another, that also lasted 3 weeks, they are susceptible to water ingress, I think its a bad design as all the workings/ electrical equipment inside gets wet corrodes and basically gives up. There is nothing to protect the workings from damp/wet

I bought this in March and have used it half a dozen times.No longer charges and you cannot return it beyond 30 days.AVOID AVOID a complete waste of £125.I bought two one for my dog and one as a gift for my daughters dog .Cannot get through to manufacturer.Complete rip off

Bought one of these from TikTok, lasted 24 hours and stopped working. This one seems more robust also it plugs into the mains. Dog loves it, unfortunately he still wants the human interaction so have to put the ball in for him

These are brilliant. Really sturdy and last so much longer than the B&M ones that are alot cheaper and get destroyed instantly by my frenchie. Fit perfectly in the Nerf dog gun
