I purchased this lead to replace one that was very awkward to retract and lock and where the lead itself was a very thin string that could easily wrap around your hand and leave a deep indentation. I was therefore very pleased with this lead as the control was a simple push forward to lock or pull back to release the lead. The lead itself was a strong flat fabric composition which retracted very smoothly into the handset. The handset was well constructed and the handle itself felt very comfortable whilst walking my dog. Overall I was very pleased with the whole package and would recommend for use with medium sized dogs as per the packaging.

This item was delivered on the 9th October so I’ve literally had it 17 days. Over the last couple of days the lead has not been retracting properly, I can head it rattle a little inside. Today I took my puppy for a walk in the woods, she’s only a dachshund so a little dog, she pulled on the lead and it completely snapped! (See picture of where I have had to knot the lead around the harness and you can see the other part of the lead with the clip still attached). I wouldn’t recommend this product at all

Loved price, colour, quality, ergonomic handle makes it comfortable to use. Easy lock function and retraction smooth and doesn’t tangle.

Initially I was very pleased with this lead. It was easily retractable, comfortable in my hands, and easy to control my dog with. However, the fifth time I used it was also the last. The whole tape twisted up inside the slit where it retracts and it was impossible to straighten it back out again. The lock function did not function well enough to stop my dog when running either and would release allowing him to charge at full length of the lead. Great for a small dog only.

Comfortable handle on it and easy to grip, not the greatest quality as the lead has folded over within 2 weeks of using it. Sometimes doesn’t retract back in fully and also doesn’t lock properly. Major problem when you have a excited pup trying to run. Wouldn’t buy again, but as they say, you get what you pay for. Currently looking a new one as I can’t trust this to lock.

Snapped after 1 month, little cockerpoo was too strong for it . My neighbour also got one for same type of dog and hers lasted 2 months. It didn’t snap but it stopped retracting,, constant long lead. It’s true about getting what U pay for. They need to stop selling these, dogs are going to be killed or lost.
