We have had this for over 6 months now and have used it every day, multiple times a day. It’s very sturdy even though the cord looks like it shouldn’t be. Has never tangled, and retracts smoothly. Easy to hold and I love how easy it is to lock and unlock. My terrier cross thinks all cats want to play and takes off as soon as she spots one, this lead has worked perfectly to stop her getting very far, while also letting her have a small amount of freedom to roam when there are no cats in sight.

UPDATE 2: Almost 3 years after buying these leashes, they are still doing their job well, and are in regular use. They never tangle and don’t break, even when our full-grown cats pull them with full force. So I wholeheartedly change my initial review and recommend these leashes now.UPDATE 1: We’re now a year or so later and the frayed leashes still haven’t broken yet on my cats who now weigh 3 and 4 kilos and are now used to the loud retracting sound (they also come running when they hear me roll the leashes out to go into the garden). We’re using the leashes regularly and they still retract well as well. So my original disappointment and terrible expectations were NOT justified. Apologies.—Original review:Already frayed after ONE (!!!) use in garden with 1.5 kilo kitten. So won’t last long. The rolling and blocking sounds scare the cats. Ordered 1 blue and 1 pink one, which each block their leash in a different direction, which is VERY confusing. I thought it would be “good enough” for small kittens. But it isn’t. Regret my purchase and wish I had bought other ones. Very happy with short (non-retractable) sturdy smooth Trixie leashes. Wish I could find something like that in retractable format…

Big handle
Works great but it’s big. Feels heavy to hold but the handle has a nice rubber covering that makes it comfortable. The lock mechanism takes some getting used to but over all it’s very sturdy and built well. I love the length of the cord too.

Unsere Hündin läuft besser
Diese Leine ist echt super, unsere Yorkshire Hündin Stella ( 14 Wochen alt) , läuft damit besser als mit einer normalen Leine, wahrscheinlich ist dies damit geschuldet das sie nicht so schwer ist. Außerdem hat sie durch die 5m mehr Bewegungsfreiheit um das Umfeld zu erkunden! Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist gegenüber ähnlichen Leinen aus z.B. Zooläden absolut super! Die Qualität ist okay, Farbe für eine Hündin angemessen. Die Langlebigkeit wird sich zeigen, aber die ersten Gassigänge waren mehr als zufriedenstellend.
